Clergy

We are in an interim period preparing for a search for our next Rector and the parish is a member of the Rockland Collaboration. The Rev. Andrew Kadel serves as our Parish Chaplain during this time. A Parish Chaplain is a priest who provides regular Sunday Eucharist and support for a parish without a permanent priest in place. For St. John’s this means that he is with us most Sundays until we call our next Rector. He will work closely with The Rev. Michelle Meech, Rockland Missioner, as she helps to guide our parish through our transition work and search process, and will also work with our Wardens and licensed Eucharistic Visitors to help provide pastoral care.

Burt has played various major concerts both in his native Florida (Friday Musicale in ’92 and ’94 among other large venues) and throughout Europe most importantly major professional performances at 1) the Baden Hall (’91) in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic, 2) Leopoldskron Castle (’92 and ’93) in Salzburg and 3) Castle Klessheim (also in Salzburg) among others in Germany, Austria and Holland. Burt has been playing professional organ in the NYC area for 24 years and boasts a (fairly) large repertoire of German and French Baroque Sacred Music for which he has a deep passion.
